A bancha-style green tea specially made for cold tea. This single origin tea yields a sweet, easy-drinking cup that refreshes like sencha green. The leaves undergo a specialized "fixing" process (applying heat to fresh tea leaves to stop the oxidation process) that involves rounds of both steaming and pan-frying. The result is a tea with the depth and complexity of Chinese greens alongside the distinct freshness and vegetal qualities of Japanese greens. A sort of flavor hybrid ideal for iced tea. This tea has a medium body and a comforting toastiness that precedes a grassy finish.
